OUR HISTORY

Let's take a walk down the memory lane

2015

  • Founded GATE Academy.

2017

  • Operations in 3 locations: Lagos, Abuja and Ogun States, Nigeria.

  • Launched GECCA by GATE, an educational, college & career advisory service for secondary school students.

2018

  • Hit a milestone of 1 million tutoring hours.

  • The Book - drive by GATE program was launched to deliver educational resources to students in low and middle income communities.

2019

  • GATE Edu-ideate Technology Inc. became a Limited Liability Company

  • Our K-12 tutor-matching platform is made available in the UK.

  • Google Africa Code Week - In collaboration with The Cape Town Science Centre, UNESCO, and SAP, we successfully trained and certified over 2000 students in LMIC schools in digital literacy.

2020

  • Launch of Hail-A-Tutor, a peer-to -peer tutor-matching for students in Universities and Polytechnics

  • Developed Assignment Help by GATE to provide expert homework solutions to learners across all grade level k-12 to university

  • Expanded Operations to other countries such as Canada, Hungary, Ghana, South- Africa, Angola, etc.

2021

  • Founded EDiT Technologies.

  • Competed in the 2021 Seedstars FTxSDG Challenge.

2022

  • Registered GATE Edu-ideate Technology Ltd in the UK.

  • Accepted into the 2022 cohort of the VC4A venture showcase accelerator

  • Accepted into the EDUCATE ventures accelerator by the European Union Development Fund

2023

  • Nominated as Ed-tech startup Western Africa region by the Global Startups Awards.
